With about 30 days to go until SQLSaturday#44 at Golden West College, 15744 Goldenwest St, Huntington Beach, CA 92647-3197 we’re still trying to get the news out to as many people as possible. Please take a moment to forward this information to friends and colleagues that might be interested. Remember, we have some topics of interest to Developers, DBAs and Bi folks that work with SQL Server. Almost everyone works with databases so be sure to forward to any developers you might know as well. They or someone they know might be interested.

SQL Saturday Socal – Call for Speakers
SQLSaturday is a training event for SQL Server professionals and those wanting to learn about SQL Server. This event will be held on April 24th, 2010 at Golden West College, 15744 Goldenwest St, Huntington Beach, CA 92647-3197. Admittance to this event is free, but we do charge a lunch fee of 10.00 so that we can provide a lunch – not pizza! As a speaker though, your lunch is free as a Thank You for being a speaker.
The success of SQL Saturday depends on the effort of our volunteer speakers. Do you have a passion for SQL Server? Want to share your knowledge and experience with your fellow members? Sign up as a Speaker for SQL Saturday. You do not have to be a professional speaker, just a topic and passion to share that knowledge with your fellow community members.

It’s almost here. The Official SQL Saturday In SoCal website will be setup in the coming days. Mark your calendar! SQL Saturday in SoCal will be on April 24, 2010 at Huntington Beach, CA.

UPDATE 02/25/2010: Prelim Planning Conference Call. Task delegation, logistics, sponsors, food, swag and others were discussed. We’re certainly looking for more volunteers. More details once we setup the SQL Saturday website. It’s almost official now. SQL Saturday event here in Southern California will be on April 24, 2010 at Huntington Beach, CA (close to the 405 Freeway).
UPDATE 02/19/2010: We now have the location for the SQL Saturday SoCal! Please stand by for more details!
UPDATE 02/18/2010: We’re still waiting for the location’s response to our request. We hope to get the word before Friday or Monday.
We’ve been working since October to bring the SQL Saturday Event to the Southern California Region. We are now close to the final stage of the process!
We are not listed yet on the SQL Saturday Website because we are still working with the location to finalize things. Once we set everything up, then we’re ready to roll!
