Some Notes On SQL Saturday #44
Few weeks after we officially announced SQLSaturday#44, a couple of event sponsors have signed up so far. 2 or 3 have signed up as swag sponsors (books and software). There are only 5 weeks to go before the event. This means we need an aggressive campaign to attract more event sponsors. In order for us to attract more sponsors, we need more attendees! So far we have 39 attendees and 10 sessions.
These remaining 5 weeks will determine the success or failure of the event. Organizing a big event like this with a small window of time is daunting. Nonetheless, all members of the organizing team are very positive that we will have Success as an outcome.
We believe that the whole SQL Server community will support us in this endeavor. If you know companies who might be interested in sponsoring an event with 150-200 SQL Server Professional attendees, please send them our way. The Sponsorship Plan can be downloaded here (pdf).
We’re still looking for SQL Server speakers. If this is just your first-time of speaking in an event like this, we greatly encourage you to come and speak in our event. There are 3 general session levels you can choose – Beginner, Intermediate, and advance.
Anyone interested in SQL Server, or any database platform, please join us and register for the event. The event itself is free but we’re charging $10.00 for food (definitely, not pizza).
