How I Become Victim Of Procrastination
After I nailed downed my MCTS Certification last year, I said to myself I’ll go for more. But there were other priorities – in work and personal – that I needed to focus on. Then the quest for another certification was put on the wayside. Come this year 2010. So, again I said, I’ll go for more certification this year. But I got busy in other stuff. I got more involvement in the Church – speaking, Bible Study, and other activities. Then there was SoCal SQL Saturday which really showed me what it meant by “getting involved in the community” (I’ll post my recap about the event later). See, we procrastinate without even being aware of it.
The danger of procrastination is like a deep-seated illness. It doesn’t show its symptoms until it’s already on serious stage. It is really difficult to “cure” procrastination when procrastinating doesn’t reveal itself as procrastination. This is summed up in this YouTube Video:
